He served as a CIA Intelligence Officer running field operations and crisis response across high-threat regions, then spent years as a JPMorgan Chase Managing Director leading crisis management, insider threat mitigation, and OCC/SEC compliance across 14 markets in Asia-Pacific.

He later oversaw PCI DSS and SOC compliance for Fiserv/Clover's tier-1 financial operations — passing three consecutive audits with zero findings — and today runs GDI Risk Advisory Group, designing governance and controls frameworks for family investment funds, fintechs, and private equity clients.

CrestPoint AI grew out of that work. The same due diligence and monitoring rigor John built by hand for institutional clients is now software — so funds, family offices, and operators can run that discipline themselves, without a compliance department or a six-figure vendor contract.
